ABOUT BMSA

Bhagwan Mahaveer School of Architecture (BMSA) is an Architectural College in Haryana which is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and initiated by Bhagwan Mahaveer Education Foundation (BMEF). This college was established in 2002 which is recognized and approved by Council of Architecture and AICTE. The school has always believed in the training of students by a unique pedagogy comprising of a multi-disciplinary blend of design, technology, theory and media in the field of architecture.

The vision of this course is to develop hope, trust, responsibility, compassion and a sense of justice that matters for the students to achieve a positive outlook which motivates them to believe in themselves.

 

 

 

MISSION

The mission of this course is to provide quality education and an avenue for the for the development of architectural education that emphasizes not only the regular academic course but also practical experience of the real world that will lead to a successful career in the field of architecture.

 

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the course is to educate and train creative professionals with the requisite practical courses, theoretical and aesthetic knowledge and professional skills to compete and collaborate in the profession of architecture. In order to become a skilled architect student needs to have problem-solving abilities along with rational and artistic blend of mind.

During the course the students cover various architecture subjects such as visual arts, design methodology, theory of structures, computer applications etc.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

BMSA offers an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) of 5 years duration which is divided into 2 stages and 10 semesters.

Each semester comprises of 16-18 weeks of duration covering minimum 30 contact periods per week.

Stage 1: - 1st year - 3rd year (1st sem-6th sem)

Stage 2: - 4th year - 5th year (7th sem-10th sem)

SCHOLARSHIP

BMSA proudly offers several scholarships every year to deserving students. The scholarships are awarded to the students under the following categories: 

  • Merit cum means based scholarships are awarded to the deserving college students by the college.
  • Scholarships are also provided to the students belonging from economically weaker sections of our society.
  • Merit and National scholarships are also provided to the most brilliant students under State and Central government.

 

FACULTY OF B. Arch

The course faculty of BMSA provides a good ratio of well-trained, highly qualified, dedicated and hardworking professors equipped with all the modern technology and provides an ambience of self-learning to the students. The faculty always focuses to help students at all academic levels by encouraging the students to work in team and develop it into their dream work.

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate eligible for admission to the 5-year B. Arch degree course must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2) with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50% in aggregate.

OR

A candidate must have passed the National Aptitude Test of Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum of 40% marks.

 

ADMISSION PROCESS

  • The admission process is completely based on entrance exam NATA which is held between April-June.
  • The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria and the merit for admission to architecture i.e., (NATA score) and qualifying examination with 50% have to appear for the Entrance Exam.

ABOUT TRAINING AND PLACEMENT

BMSA has a dedicated training and placement team which has always in providing the best career opportunities for each student. The team aims to diligently work with corporate world and to help students prepare for their career. The students gain critical learning and team building skills due to their participation in student professional organisations.

The team also encourages the participation and leadership among the students and helps them get into great career opportunities as a construction manager, estates manager, landscape architect or even as a freelancer.

After the registration , all india rank is given to all candidates based on NATA score. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute .
