ABOUT THE COLLEGE

The Institute for Socialist Education, a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, established Vastu Kala Academy in 1993. It offers a five-year (ten-semester) full-time architecture undergraduate degree. The Academy is situated in the Qutub Institutional Region, close to prestigious institutions such as IIT, JNU, the National Institute of Health Education, the National Institute of Immunology, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and others. It is well-served by public transportation from all directions.

The institute  is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

(The Council of Architecture and the AICTE have also recognised it.)

B.ARCH. IS A DEGREE IN ARCHITECTURE (FULL TIME 5-YEAR DEGREE COURSE)

The college offers a five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree programme that has been accredited by the Council of Architecture. The curriculum is divided into two stages and spans five years. Three years of full-time research were supplemented by practical experience in a technical workplace or on a building site. The second stage entails two years of full-time study, which involves the completion of a research dissertation, attendance in lectures, and the presentation of a Design Thesis, among other things. In the seventh semester, students engage in a 24-week practical training programme in licenced architectural offices/firms to obtain practical experience. It also aids them in bridging the difference between theoretical and realistic approaches to project management, as well as understanding the construction process, cultural effects, and architectural language. Students can also hear on the current up-to-date building methods and methodologies. Certificates are awarded after academic assessments are finished. In order to uphold good expectations, the assessment is based on monthly assignments and projects provided to the students. The completion of the course consists in the granting of a degree diploma.

The total number of seats available is 40. (2019-20)

The cost of tuition is Rs. 1,15000.

In addition to the fees mentioned above, the college can charge a fee for student events and other developmental costs.

Observation At the time of the examination, the fee must be charged by Demand Draft.

If the fees are raised in the future, it will affect all students enrolled in the B. Arch. programme.

The registration will be cancelled and the candidate's fee will be refunded following deduction of a processing fee of Rs. 10,000/- if the written order is submitted on or before the 2nd therapy up to 5.00 p.m.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have earned a minimum of 50% in aggregate at the 10+2 level or similar test, with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

or a 10+3year certificate with a 50 percent composite mark approved by the Federal / State Governments.

or an International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) after ten years of education, with a minimum of 50% in aggregate and Mathematics as a required subject.

All applicants for entry to the B. Arch. Program who have all of the above credentials must have a clear NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) score of 50%. For entry to the B.Arch. programme, there would be no entrance exam. NATA Scores and the proportion of marks earned in the qualifying test, i.e., Senior Secondary level or equivalent, will be used to determine admission.

The merit list will be compiled using the following criteria:

50 percent I Architectural Aptitude (NATA Score)

(ii) Qualifying Examination: 50% (10+2 or 10+3)

 

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION:

The application forms should be submitted to GGSIP University in their entirety. Documents (one set) are available at the time of application submission. NATA Score Card a. (Attested Photocopy)

b. 10+2-mark sheet and qualifying test certificate (Photocopy of Attestation)

The forms would be disqualified if they do not have the above two papers.

Applicants must include their full address, including their name and PINCODE, in a legible and proper manner. Please note that the Vastu Kala Academy, College of Architecture, will send all future correspondence to this address. Just a black ball point pen can be used to fill out the forms. The address should be correctly filled out in the designated boxes and should not exceed the limit. GGSIPU/ Vastu Kala Academy, College of Architecture will not be held accountable for forms lost in transit or for the applicant's incorrect address on the Application Form.Counseling will take place at GGSIP University in New Delhi.

COLLEGE RATING

After the registration , all india rank is given to all candidates based on NATA score. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute .
