ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Chanderprabhu Jain College of Higher Studies is a private college in Narela, New Delhi established by Rishi Aurobindo Educational Society. The college is recognized by Bar Council of India and was established in the year 2007. It is in affiliation to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University which is approved by AICTE and Accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC. This institute offers undergraduate course of 3 years in BBA, BCA, BBA (CAM), BCom. (Hons) and 5 years integrated course in BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons).

The college is away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis and thus provides a pleasant and intellectual ambience.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Bachelor’s in Computer Application BCA is 3 years (6 semesters) undergraduate programme. The course provides an understanding and skills related to the use of computer and its applications which is demanded by the global software industry.

During the course students cover various subjects in the fields of core programming languages like JAVA and C++, Data Structure, Discreate Mathematics, Statistics, Operating Systems, Networking, Database etc.

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

The BCA course is divided into 6 semesters which is of 5 months’ time-period and each semester comprises of theory and practical subjects. An academic calendar consists of 2 semesters and has a working duration of about 21 weeks.

In addition, every semester also has Audio – Visual Presentations and Personality Development programmes to develop the overall personality of the students.

VISION

The vision of this course is to improve the institutional perseverance, persistence and patience among the students through effective teaching-learning. It also aims to open a channel of admission for computing courses for students who are interested in taking Computing as a career.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this course is to inculcate virtues of self-study and also enhance the analytical and communication skills of students by equipping them with core concepts of IT and attitude towards social responsibility which provides the foundation for the personal and professional growth and will help them perform more efficiently in their future work life.

The BCA graduates has a lot of employment opportunities as a Data Scientist, Digital Marketer, Web Developer, System Engineer, Junior Programmer, Product Manager, Cyber Security Expert in government and private sector companies.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• A candidate eligible for admission to the 3-year BCA undergraduate degree course must be Passed in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or Computer Science / or any other subject related to Computer Science.
• The candidates must have qualified CUET

ADMISSION PROCESS

• The candidates must apply throughCUET for the admission to any of the courses offered by CPJ (Chanderprabhu Jain) College.
• The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
• The candidates who qualify CUET are only eligible for the admission in the college.

ABOUT THE PLACEMENT CELL

The objective of the placement cell of CPJ College is to provide the best career opportunities to the students in the field of Computer application. The Placement Cell takes up the task of ensuring that the students get proper exposure through rigorous training and internships by inviting leading brands of the corporate world to campus every year. The cell is responsible to discover the interests and skills of the students.

Companies like Wipro, Oracle, Infosys, GE Capital, Godrej, Genpact, HERO, Amazon, HCL and much more visits the college and provides the best placement records in the college.

After the CUET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute . The appearance in CUET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
