At FIMT School of IT, our goal is to develop capable Software & IT Management professionals who are dedicated to achieving excellence and setting industry standards. Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) is a three-year programme.

Full-Time Mode

Eligibility: 10+2 or equal in any discipline from a Government of India recognised Board.

GGSIP University's Common Entrance Test (CET) is the admissions criterion.

ABOUT THE STRUCTURE OF THE BCA PROGRAM

The Guru Gobind Singh Indrapratsha University, Delhi, is affiliated with the Fairfield School of IT's BCA programme. The programme is split into six semesters, with each school year consisting of two semesters. According to the following breakdown, each semester has a working period of approximately 21 weeks. Imparting of information 17-week period. Preparatory time off 01 weeks Exam at the end of the semester (including Practical) three weeks After every odd semester, there is a two-week weekend, and after every even semester, there is a six-week leave. Companies who wish to take advantage of emerging information technologies and communication systems need experts who can apply computer science concepts to address challenges that arise at the business-technology interface. CA Course is an academic curriculum that exposes students to different fields of computing applications, as well as the most recent business trends. The Bachelor in Computer Application (B.C.A.) program's key goal is to prepare students for specialised careers in computer applications. Graduates of the BCA programme will begin their careers as programmers and progress to the position of senior programmers.

• A candidate eligible for admission to the 3-year BCA undergraduate degree course must be Passed in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or Computer Science / or any other subject related to Computer Science.

Placement ERP - The placement updates of the college are issued by the ERP cell which facilitates easy access to information regarding placement drives to students as well as parents and teachers. This resourceful department keeps an eye on the progress of each student and leads them through the placement process in all its smoothness while at the same time answering queries which can turn up innumerable times related to the same.

Job fair - The college brims up with hundreds of companies coming to provide placement every year where students from all the courses can undergo the placement process characteristic to their choice of company . All the courses have their idiosyncratic and world class companies coming over to give employments to the most deserved of students.

Training and workshops - The college also prepares its students how to face the processes involved during placements including interviews, group discussions, presentations, viva and many more through its thorough and efficient training and workshop programs. Assessment Tests - The college conducts ACMAT tests regularly to keep a track of the aptitude and skills of students.

Student mentors - The college invites accomplished alumni to hold guest lectures which motivate the students while at the same time give them a chance to learn from their experiences.

After the CUET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute . The appearance in CUET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
