Sirifort Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) is a private college in Rohini, New Delhi. The college is recognized by Bar Council of India and was established in the year 1999. It is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University which is approved by AICTE and Accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC. This institute offers undergraduate education in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Bachelor of Commerce B. Com (H).

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Bachelor’s in Computer Application BCA is 3 years (6 semesters) undergraduate programme. The course provides an understanding and skills related to the use of computer and its applications which is demanded by the global software industry.

During the course students cover various subjects in the fields of core programming languages like JAVA and C++, Data Structure, Discreate Mathematics, Technical Communication, Statistics, Operating Systems, Networking, Database and much more.

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

The BCA course is divided into 3 years and further divided into 6 semesters. An academic calendar consists of 2 semesters of Theory course as well as Practical course of 800 marks each.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A candidate eligible for admission to the 3-year BCA undergraduate degree course must be Passed in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or Computer Science / or any other subject related to Computer Science.
The candidates must have qualified CUET

ADMISSION PROCESS

The candidates must apply through CUET for the admission to any of the courses offered SIMS.
The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
The candidates who qualify CUET are only eligible for the admission in the college.

ABOUT THE PLACEMENT CELL

The placement cell of SIMS was established in 2003 for enhancing the interface between the Institute and the Industry and promotes institutional preparation to meet industrial needs by facilitating internship, seminars, workshops and various pre-placement trainings in soft skills which provides placements in both Government and Public sectors of the country.

The college has the best placement records due to highly reputed companies visiting the college which are Infosys, Accenture, NIIT, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TATA, SAP, Virtusa and much more.

After the CUET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute . The appearance in CUET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
