IP University Management quota Eligibility Criteria:- According to IP University students who have completed admission criteria and eligibility criteria or have registered with IPU are eligible to apply under the management quota.

According to arrangements in The Delhi Professional Colleges or Institutions (forbiddances of capitation fee regulation of admission, fixation of Non-Exploitative Fee and different measures to guarantee value and greatness) Act 2007‟ (Delhi Act 8 of 2007), Govt of NCT of Delhi, in each institution, except from the minority foundation/independent Institutions who have Surrendered Management Quota, for the Academic Session 2021-22 and subject to the arrangements of this Act, 10% of the absolute seats in an independent institute will be designated as “IP University Management Seats”.  

As per the procedure/Policy Section 8(2) a (ii) to (x) of the Delhi Professional Colleges of Institution (Prohibition of Capitation Fee, Regulation of Admission, Fixation of Non-Exploitative Fee and Other Measures to Ensure Equity and Excellence) Act, 2007 and some rules according to Act the associated colleges will stick to the set down procedure.

Significant Provisions of the “The Delhi Professional Colleges or Institutions Act 2007” are

Allocation and 12.         (1) In every institution, except the minority institution reservation of seats.

  • Subject to the provisions of this Act, ten percent of the total seats in an unaided institution shall be allocated as management seats.
  • Eighty-five percent of the total seats, except the management seats, shall be allocated for Delhi students and the remaining fifteen percent seats for the outside Delhi students or such other allocation as the Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, direct;
  • Supernumerary seats for non-resident Indians and any other category shall be as may be prescribed.

(2)In the seats mentioned in sub-section (1), an institution shall reserve-

  • Seventeen percent seats for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes Category, one percent seats for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes category and such percentage of seats, for any other category including Other Backward Classes as may be prescribed;
  • For seats not mentioned as allocated for Delhi students in sub section (1), fifteen percent seats for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes category, seven and a half percent seats for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes category and such percentage of seats, for any other category as may be prescribed.
  • Subject to clause (a) and clause (b) above, three percent of seats for persons with disabilities as provided in the Persons with Disabilities

(Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 (1 of 1996), and, such percent of seats for the wards of defence personnel and any other category, as may be prescribed.

Manner of    13. An institution shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, make admission through admission            a common entrance test to be conducted by the designated agency, in such manner, as may be prescribed; 

Provided that the management seats may be advertised and filled up, from the candidates who have qualified for the common entrance test, by the institution in a transparent manner based on the merit at the qualifying examination

The Act accommodates reservations in management quota too. All foundations providing admission to the student in the Management quota will guarantee compliance of statutory reservations as specified in the said act. The Government of NCT of Delhi, Directorate of Higher Education, vide letter no. DHE-4(15)/2006-07/15461605 dated 14.06.2007 has informed the rules regarding filling up of the 10% Management Seats in the exercise of the power given by section 23 of the Delhi Professional Colleges or Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee, Regulation of Admission, Fixation of Non-Exploitative Fee and Other Measures to Ensure Equity and Excellence) Act, 2007, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. The same is reproduced below-

8. Apportioning of Seats

(2) Every foundation other than a minority institute, will accommodate seats in regard to the management quota, wards of defence personnel, people with disabilities and other issues are discussed below: -

(a) Management Quota ( For More Details Call : 9999998022 )

(I) The Chairman or Secretary of the greatest administration body of the Institution will have to furnish an affidavit to the designated agency, mentioning that they have followed the procedure laid down in the Act and these rules in a straightforward way and that they have done as such with no bias or unjustifiable blessing. Such an affidavit will go with the list of effective competitors under management quota, to be held up with the University in the way that laid down in sub-condition (viii).

(ii). The institution will publicize the admission notice for the management quota seats in something like two leading newspapers, one in Hindi and the other in English as well as showing something similar on the institution’s site and the institution’s notice board, kept at a conspicuous spot. The confirmation notice will be displayed no less than a fortnight before the last date for admission of the concerned course in the University and shall include therein information necessary for the students looking for admission to the management quota seats. The admission notice will incorporate in that the spot from which admission forms will be available, the date, the time and way for submission of finished applications and the timetable for different admission processes and guiding. Prospective candidates will be given a time of somewhere around eighteen days to apply for seats under the management quota, in the previously mentioned way.

(iii) While calculating the management seats, a fraction less than 0.7 shall be ignored and above that converted into one full seat. 

(iv)Based on the total score gained by the qualified candidates at the qualifying examination, the institute concerned will get ready and display the rank-ordered merit list of such candidates on the institution’s site and notice board kept at a conspicuous place of the institution, within two days of the end date for receipt of the management quota applications. The eligibility for rank ordering of applications with a tie in the passing examination’s total marks will be equivalent to those laid down by the designated authority.

(v)      Based on the merit list so drawn up, the establishments concerned will direct admission counselling for allocation of branches/courses to qualified candidates in a time period of three days of drawing up the merit list of management quota candidates. Such affirmation advising will, in any case, be dependent upon the condition that there will not be multiple rounds of counselling. The list of candidates who will be called for a given round of admission counselling will be shown on the institution’s site and notice board, kept in a conspicuous place.

(vi)     Following the lead of admission counselling, the list of candidates conceded to the management quota seats made based on the merit list drawn up in the previously mentioned way and the balance of the management quota seats in each course will be distributed toward the finish of each round of counselling on the site of the institution just as that of the assigned agency. A duplicate of such a list will be shown on the notification board of the assigned agency just as that of the institution, kept at a prominent place for the data of the applicants and others. The list of the competitors being required for the first round of counselling will be shown in the previously mentioned way alongside the merit list, demonstrating in that- data, time and location at which the counselling will be held. The date, time and location of the second round of counselling will be shown alongside the list of applicants admitted in the first round of advising.

Given that the second round of counselling will commence just a short time after distributions of the list of candidates admitted in the first round of counselling and the control/course-wise balance of seats.

(vii)   The last date to top off the management quota seats will be nine calendar days after the last date for normal admission in the University and the concerned course.

(viii)  All admission made to the management quota seats will be temporary and will require sanction by the assigned agency, which will pass on its decision within a day of being informed by the institution.

(ix) The associated instruction will not be approved to admit competitors against the management quota seats after the cut-off date fixed as referenced in sub-clause (vii) above.

(x) If any question emerges as to the confirmation under the management quota seat(s), the assigned agency or the Government, by and large, will have the abrogating ability to give headings to the establishment which will be restricted upon the institution concerned". 

 

Thus, the affiliated institutions, those which are eligible for management quota seats and are desirous of filling the seats shall follow the following schedule for admissions in the management quota:
