ABOUT THE COLLEGE

B.M. Institute of Engineering and Technology (BMIET) in Sonepat is one of the best engineering colleges in Haryana and the Delhi NCR. It was established in 1999 by Bhagwan Mahavir Education Trust with the aim of establishing a centre of excellence in technical education in Sonepat. Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Management are some of the degree programmes offered by BMIET Sonepat. VISION

BMIET, Sonepat's vision is to convert the institute into a contemporary, ever-evolving temple of learning in Technology, Engineering, and Management with a separate identity not only in Haryana, but across the world. FACILITIES:

Transportation

For Delhi students, BMIET offers a bus service. In Delhi, we have a total of twelve buses operating on different routes. Fans, comfortable seating, curtains, and well-trained drivers are all standard on all vans.

 

Hostels

Our institution has one of the best hostels. Both boys and girls have their own hostel. Nearly 200 students are housed in the hostels. The hostel students are supplied with all necessary amenities such as hygienic meals, sports equipment, research rooms, air-conditioned rooms, and so on, as well as a generator that provides 24-hour power. Both hostels are within walking distance of one another.

 

Extracurricular Programs

During its annual function, the institute hosts a variety of contests. Students are inspired and inspired to participate in different institutions' festivals and competitions. Our students have won awards at university youth festivals and other events on numerous occasions.

 

Facilities for the Development of Soft Skills

Extra classes are taken for Group Discussion and Interview Skills Improvement. Experts in the field hold workshops on communication skills from time to time. A Communication Lab is being established at the Institute.

 

Service of a Library

Our library is a valuable resource and is regarded as one of IP University's affiliated colleges' best libraries. The library has made its collection of over 34000 books, papers, magazines, dissertations, and bound journals open to the public. CDs (1598) and e-resources are also well-stocked at the library.

 

 

ADMISSION PROCESS

B. Tech (CSE, ECE, ME, CIVIL) — Admissions will be based on the JEE Main Score and the percentage of students who passed 12th PCM.

Admissions to BBA programmes are based on the GGSIPU CET.

MBA — Admissions are based on GGSIPU's CAT/ CET score.

Admissions to B. Tech-LE are based on the GGSIPU CET.

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:

All admissions will be based on the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 administered by the Indian Institute of Management, followed by the CMAT 2020 (another National Level Test) based on the normalisation of their scores.

The university will also hold its own CET for admissions, but will only use the CET merit if seats remain vacant after the completion of the CAT2019 and CMAT/2020 merit lists.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • A candidate eligible for admission must have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

  • The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or any recognized qualification with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

  • The candidate must have passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

 

ADMISSION PROCESS

  • The candidates must apply through CAT (Common Admission Test) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and then Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) by National Testing Agency (NTA) and after that IPU CET for the admission to the MBA (1st Shift).
  • The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
  • The candidates who qualify CAT, CMAT and CET are only eligible for the admission in the college.

COLLEGE RATING

After the registration , all india rank is given to all candidates based on CAT score. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute .
