Approval & Affiliation

Two year B. Ed. Programme being run at Sant Hari Dass College of Higher Education is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka. The norms and standards for the delivery of the course – as laid down by the GGSIP University – are followed at the college. The B.Ed programme is divided into four semester’s duration. Each semester comprises of theory and practical subject.

Bachelor of Education

B.Ed. course is a Two year degree course affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Recognized by NCTE Delhi(Govt. of India).

Intake and Reservation of Seats

In B. Ed. Programme, there is intake of 100 seats. The existing reservation policy stipulates 10% seats as “Management Quota Seats”. Out of the remaining 90%, 85% are reserved for Delhi candidates and 15% for outside Delhi candidates. Further reservation for specific categories shall be as per the guidelines of Government of NCT of Delhi

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• A candidate eligible for admission to the B.Ed. course must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2) and Undergraduate Level in any stream (Arts, Science or Commerce).
• The aggregate of 50-55% marks must be taken as an eligibility criterion at Undergraduate Level to admission in B.Ed. course.

ADMISSION PROCESS

• The candidates must apply through GGSIPU CET for the admission to B.Ed. course
• The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
• The candidates who qualify CET (Common Entrance Test) are only eligible for the admission in the college.

SHDCHE has its own placement cell through which students get placed in the jobs which are best suited for them.Every year B.Ed. get placed during their school experience programme. Every year more 10 (ten) schools participate in the placement process that allows students to show their excellence. Through college placement cell around 80% students have got placed so far.

The priority of the Institute is to provide comprehensive career opportunities as well as placements. It is also acclaimed and unique that the Institute uses a team of professionals and experts to make students learn well. It tries always tries to build in the students the competencies skills. The Institute also arrange various programs for all skill development and placement related activities. The series of actions to achieve final placements usually starts in November each year. It is in November itself that the Institute organizes the summer placements. Various steps are taken in order to raise communication skills or to introduce personality development training programs. Selected companies are invited to the campus, and they deliver their motive of coming to the students. Furthermore, Pre-Placement Talks provides the companies with a better interaction with the students.

After the IPU CET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off is different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidates vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by the institute . The appearance in IPU CET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
