The institute started with enthusiasm in 1999. The first batch of this College comprise 180 B.Tech. students. There has been tremendous growth from 1999 and at present. MAIT provides Bachelor's Degree in five disciplines of Engineering - Mechanical and Automation Engineering (180 students intake each),Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering  (240 students intake), Computer Science & Technology , Information Technology and Engineering (60 students intake each) , Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, and Postgraduate degree in Master of Business Administration (180 students intake).

The alumni has been contributing significantly toacademics, business,social domains, industry, research, and government.Its alumni have also distinguished themselves through their achievements.  The institute regularly work closely with the alumni to motivate students and fulfill its activities through continuous interactions in academic and research programmes.The overall environment provides a quality learning atmosphere for students that influence societal contributions, culture, art,sports,  human values and self-governance.

One of the establishing branches of MAIT since 1999, The Department of Mechanical Engineering has shown predictable development in different exercises and execution of its students. Admission to different programmes is based solely on the results of the National Testing Agency's Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Mains (NTA). The students are named according to their All-India Rank in their respective JEE exams (Mains). The University organises two levels of counselling to complete the admissions process. Admission is based on a management quota. According to GGSIP University regulations, the management quota fills 10% of the seats in each course on a merit basis. Applications for the seats are advertised in newspapers.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRANCE

Pass 12th Class in CBSE's 10+2 pattern or similar with a minimum aggregate of 55 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, assuming the applicant passed each subject separately. In addition, the candidate must have passed the qualifying test with English as a subject (core, elective, or functional).

After the registration , all india rank is given to all candidates based on JEE mains score. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process.
