Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi, has been steadily climbing both national and global academic rankings, reflecting its growing reputation in education, research, and institutional excellence.

National Accreditation & Recognition

GGSIPU was awarded the NAAC A++ grade in 2023, the highest grading, valid for seven years. This demonstrates its strong quality in teaching, infrastructure, research, and overall institutional governance. In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), IPU has consistently placed well in multiple categories: overall performance, law (Law & Legal Studies), engineering, and management studies.

Global & International Milestones

In the QS World University Rankings 2024, IPU made its debut among the top ~1500 universities globally.
In QS World Rankings 2025, the university earned the “Rising Star” distinction for the highest jump among Indian institutions, advancing from the 1401+ category to the 1001-1200 bracket.
In QS Asia University Rankings 2025, IPU improved significantly, securing a rank of 320 in Asia. This reflects better research output, global collaboration, and academic reputation.

Special Rankings & Thematic Recognition

In QS World Sustainability Rankings 2024, IPU entered in the 1001-1050 bracket globally. The university also ranked in knowledge exchange and governance categories, showing strength in sustainability, administrative transparency, and innovation.
According to EduRank and other global ranking platforms, IPU is placed among the top tiers in India and Asia in research output, citation impact, and reputation in specific subject areas.
