CHOICE FILLING

  • The choice filling is very much important for all the candidates as if any candidate has not filled the choices so university won’t consider them for the allotment of the seats.
  • So as soon as process of enrolment is done, all the candidates are requested to fill up the choices according to their respective needs.
  • Choices of the candidates play really important role as they all will be allotted according to their filled choices. And as candidate is done with choice filling process then next work is of university who will allot them the best available college.
  • Candidate must be aware about the rank, cut off etc.  As if candidate would fill up the choice which is not in the reach of the candidate or the college with lowest rank then candidate may not get the best available seat. So for the convenience of the candidates in choice filling each detail is mentioned on the official website of the university i.e  https://ipu.admissions.nic.in.
  • Also university suggests to apply for the maximum number of colleges, as this will increase the chance of allotment of college but still some students fill up only for limited colleges and at the end does not get any college.
  • The choice filling would be applicable only to the 1st round and as soon as 1st round gets completed candidate can change their preferences such as edit, delete , add according to their rank.
  • Also candidates are advised to take out the print out to remain safe in the future.
  • Solely it is the responsibility of the concerned person to check out all the available facilities such as hostel, transportation, food etc because university won’t consider this query after the admission process is completed.

HOW ALLOTMENT OF SEATS IS DONE?

  • Now, its turn for seat allotment, here category plays important role , according to the respective category candidates would be allotted with the best possible seat.
  • Candidates who have not paid counselling fees of Rs 1000, candidates have not enrolled themselves, but fees is paid,  have not done the choice filling procedure, after college allotment depositing Rs 40000 is must but candidate have not paid the same so seat allotment won’t be done for them.
  • After registration candidate must check out the status on the website only, college will not communicate personally to the candidate.
  • Print out of the Provisional Allotment letter can be taken out by the candidate.
  • Provisional allotment letter would only be applicable for the particular round of counseling, as in each round colleges may get upgrade or degrade.
  • If any candidate is allotted with any college so candidate have to pay Rs 40000 otherwise candidate will end up losing his ownership over that seat, and afterwards  won’t be considered for allotment of the seat.
  • Through credit card, debit card, net banking candidate can make his payment done.
  • Print out of the fees of Rs 40,000 can be taken out by the candidate and if fees receipt is not available on the website then in that case candidates are requested to contact with the team of help desk.

FREEZE/ FLOAT OPTION FOR THE ALLOTMENT OF SEAT

  • In case candidate wants to take admission in the particular college in which he has got the seat then candidate can click on the freeze option on the website.
  • Float options works when candidate wants with the upgradation of the seat.
  • After going with the float option candidate can participate in the next counseling round but college which was allotted in the previous round will be retained for the candidate.

WITHDRAWAL AND FEE REFUND POLICY

  • By clicking on the withdrawal option on the website, candidate can withdraw his respective name against the allotted seat; can complete the online withdrawal procedure.
  • Some candidates will go with the withdrawal, freezing etc of the respective seat, so their seat will be used for the allotment process of other candidates.

LAST COUNSELLING ROUND 

  • University must inform the counseling process to each one of the candidate, Though following are the common steps followed by university irrespective of the category, course etc.
  • Conversion of the seats is done at this stage like reserved category will be converted to unreserved category , region wise allotment to all India region but this step is done only when seats remain vacant after allotment of the seats to all the available candidates.
  • Candidates who have done payment of Rs 40,000, but have not freezed their seat yet would be considered for the sliding round.
  • At this stage candidates will be allotted with the seats according to their choices, and if any reserved seat would have remained vacant then conversion to the unreserved seat would have been done.

SLIDING ROUND

•        University must inform the counseling process to each one of the candidate Though following are the common steps followed by university irrespective of the category, course etc.

  • Payment of fees of Rs 40,000 is must. And if any candidate has not freezed their seat and did not withdraw the respective admission could be considered for the sliding round.
  • The candidates have to fill their preferences so seats will be allocated only according to that respective preference of the candidate on merit basis.
  • Freezing of the seat is must in order not to participate in the sliding round but only after the part payment of Rs 40,000.
  • At last verification of documents need to be made so all the candidates must reach their respective institution with the balance fees.

CANDIDATES MUST REPORT TO THE COLLEGES

  • Candidates can take out the print out of the provisional admission slip, in case of part payment of Rs 40,000 after finalizing of the college, candidate must be aware of the enrollment number.
  • If candidate does not want to get his admission cancelled then reporting to the respective institution is must along with all the required documents, fees, provisional letter etc.
  • Now it is the duty of the institute to check out the status of the candidate and must report it to the the university, as left over seats will be used for spot round.
  • University will confirm the final result of all the candidates, till then all the admissions are provisional.
  • Students whose result is not out yet so they must check out the official website.
  • Candidates who have reached their institute and completed all the formalities , so their admission is final but if any candidate wants to go for the withdrawal process then they must go for the refund policy, and for the detailed information of the refund policy candidate must check out the official website.

SPOT COUNSELLING

  • If any seats were not occupied by the candidates then remaining seats will be used for spot round of counseling.
  • Fees to participate in the spot round of counseling is RS 500, which must be submitted by the candidates only if they wish to participate in the spot round of counselling. And number of spot round of counseling is not fixed.
  • During the spot round of counseling, all the candidates will be treated as unreserved candidates.
  • Candidate must have cleared CET, and if not taken admission during online counseling then he can participate in the spot round of counseling.
  • Candidate who has opted for withdrawal option can apply for the admission through spot round of counseling.
  • If any candidate has not reached to the respective institute due to any reason, then is eligible for spot round of counseling.

HOW SEATS GET FILLED AFTER SPOT ROUND OF COUNSELLING

Still any seat left vacant after spot round of counseling then candidates must check out the official website for the detailed admission procedure.
