The Consortium of National Law universities (NLUs) had announced the date of examination for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021.The date of exam is 23rd July, timing 2pm to 4pm for bother UG and PG programs.
CLAT 2021 was earlier happening on 13th June but was postponed due to COVID- 19.
The CLAT 2021 will be an offline exam in the examination center. All the safety protocols will be taken care of. Candidates for LLM in CLAT 2021 are hereby informed that the examination will be include only 120 MCQs to be answered in 120 min.
In view of avoiding longer travel to the test centers, applicants will be given a chance to revisit their preference of the test center after the last date of submission of applications.
CLAT is a test for the students who are interested in the law and legal justice. The marks gained in this exam are acceptable for UG and PG law courses offered by NLU’s expect NLU Delhi.
In CLAT UG test there are 150 MCQs and students have to asses knowledge of about 5 subjects which are English, Current Affairs including general knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. The weightage of each question is 1 mark, their will be negative marking so if you answer anything wrong you will lose 0.25 marks.
In CLAT PG test there are 2 different sections. The 1st section includes 100 MCQs each of 1 mark. Similarly, to the UG exam each wrong answer will be having negative marking. The 2nd section requires the candidates to write 2 descriptive essays. But for LLM candidates their will be no description section.
