The institute started with enthusiasm in 1999. The first batch of this College comprise 180 B.Tech. students. There has been tremendous growth from 1999 and at present. MAIT provides Bachelor's Degree in five disciplines of Engineering - Mechanical and Automation Engineering (180 students intake each),Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering  (240 students intake), Computer Science & Technology , Information Technology and Engineering (60 students intake each) , Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, and Postgraduate degree in Master of Business Administration (180 students intake).

The alumni has been contributing significantly toacademics, business,social domains, industry, research, and government.Its alumni have also distinguished themselves through their achievements.  The institute regularly work closely with the alumni to motivate students and fulfill its activities through continuous interactions in academic and research programmes.The overall environment provides a quality learning atmosphere for students that influence societal contributions, culture, art,sports,  human values and self-governance.

 

Electronics and Communications Engineering at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology 

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established within the year 1999 under GGSIP University with an intake of 180 students presently. Department is devoted to accomplishing excellence in technical education & analysis and assesses the achievement of its programs employing a group of well qualified, skilled and highly motivated faculty. Also, they put together the students in a very wider subject of Electronics and Communication Engineering to require up difficult jobs in the regions of -VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Microwave Engineering, Analog and Digital Signal Processing.

Admissions Criteria: All applicants are required to appear in Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University shall not conduct its CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of JEE Main Paper 1 for its admissions. The admissions would be based on the merit/rank in the JEE. Note: Blind (including colour blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be eligible for admission to these courses.

Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.

After the registration , all india rank is given to all candidates based on JEE mains score. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process.
