Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) is a private college in Rohini, New Delhi. The college is recognized by Bar Council of India and was established in the year 1993. It is in affiliation to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University approved by AICTE and Accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC. ABOUT THE COURSE

The Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) is 3 years (6 semesters) undergraduate programme which imparts basic concepts of Business and Management to the students and helps them to develop their skills and also gain entrepreneurial insights so they can become great leaders and founders in the future.

During the course students cover various subjects in the fields of commerce, business and administration such as Business Statistics, Business Organisation, Fundamentals of Accounting, Business Laws, Taxation Laws, Values and Ethics in Business etc.

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

The BBA course is divided into 3 years and further divided into 6 semesters. An academic calendar consists of 2 semesters of working duration of about 21 weeks.

Each paper consists of theory as well as practical subjects and total credits for BBA programme is 140, out of which 132 credits are required for qualifying the exams.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this course is to impart the basic concepts of Business and Management to prepare students for tomorrow and equipping them today with core business knowledge and communication skills by providing them understanding and skills related to the use of Management and its applications. It also aims to open channel of admission for students who are interested in taking Management as a career.

The BBA graduates has a lot of employment opportunities as a Human Resource Manager, Finance Manager, Business Administrator, Business Consultant, Marketing Manager etc.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A candidate eligible for admission to the 3-year BBA undergraduate degree course must be Passed in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or functional) as a subject.

Annual Seat Intake: 120(60+60)

Tuition Fee: Rs. 144,000

ADMISSION PROCESS

• The candidates must apply through CUET for the admission to any of the courses offered by JIMS.
• The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
• The candidates who qualify CUET are only eligible for the admission in the college.

ABOUT THE PLACEMENT CELL

The objective of the placement cell of JIMS Rohini is to provide the best career opportunities to the students in the field of Business Administration. The Placement Cell takes up the task of ensuring that the students get proper exposure through rigorous training and internships. The cell is responsible to discover the interests and skills of the students.

The college has the best placement records due to highly reputed companies visiting the college which are ITC Limited, TATA Consultancy Services, Byju’s, PhonePe, Vodafone, MRF, Amul, Deloitte and much more.

After the CUET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute . The appearance in CUET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
