It was successfully established as Regional Centre of Ali Yavar jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), metropolis in 1986.The objectives of this centre are work force development, clinical services, academic programme, community programme and analysis.The centre was 1st established at Kasturba Niketan, Lajpat Nagar II, New Delhi and has been shifted to Noida in Apr, 2015. Moreover, This institution is an Autonomous Institute below the Department of management of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and management, Govt. of India. On 07.09.2016 The institute was renamed from Ali Yavar {Carl Gustav Jung psychologist} National Institute for the Hearing to Ali Yavar jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) in metropolis Delhi . Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), has conjointly been renamed as Ali Yavar jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), Regional Centre. The centre started with certification programme and presently giving certificate. It fosters certification for graduate level courses within the field
Education of Persons with disablement and vocational education , for persons with disablement, and people with otology and Speech Language Pathology, similarly, the certification here is provided for Graduate courses that are given by recognised Rehabilitation Council of Bharat . Furthermore the Certificate level course is attached to National Institute of Open Schooling.
The institute is provided with state of art instrument for hearing assessment and intervention, speech and language assessment and intervention, academic analysis of persons with disablement, pre-school education to youngsters with disablement and psychological analysis. The centre provides clinical services at backed rate from weekday to Friday between 09.00 am to 05.30 PM(closed on weekday, Sunday and Gazetted Holiday).

After the CUET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute . The appearance in CUET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
