Sirifort Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) is a private college in Rohini, New Delhi. The college is recognized by Bar Council of India and was established in the year 1999. It is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University which is approved by AICTE and Accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC. This institute offers undergraduate education in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Bachelor of Commerce B. Com (H).

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Bachelor’s in Commerce BCom. (H) is 3 years (6 semesters) undergraduate honours programme which is designed to bring out the directorial, executive and managerial skills of students by meeting the unparalleled demands of the distinguished individuals in the fields of finance and business.

During the course the subjects covered by the students are in the fields of Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Investment and Taxation such as Financial Accounting, Management Principles and Organisational Behaviours and much more.

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

The B.Com. (H) course is divided into 3 years and further divided into 6 semesters. An academic calendar consists of 2 semesters of Theory course as well as Practical course of total 23 credits.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A candidate eligible for admission to the 3-year BCom. (H) undergraduate degree course must have
50% in aggregate in 10+2 examination / Senior School Certificate Examination of C.B.S.E. as minimum marks for admission to B.Com with pass in five subjects (One language and four elective subjects) or an examination recognized as equivalent to that. (i) Pre-University Examination (Two years after ten years of schooling) of an Indian school / college. OR
Intermediate Examination of an Indian University / Board or an Examination recognized as equivalent to that (Pass in five written subjects) (ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years) conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi (Pass in five written subjects). (iii) Examination of a foreign University / Board which is recognized as equivalent to 10+2 CBSE examination/or Indian University.
The candidates must have qualified CUET

ADMISSION PROCESS

The candidates must apply through CUET for the admission to any of the courses offered SIMS.
The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
The candidates who qualify CUET are only eligible for the admission in the college.

ABOUT THE PLACEMENT CELL

The placement cell of SIMS was established in 2003 for enhancing the interface between the Institute and the Industry and promotes institutional preparation to meet industrial needs by facilitating internship, seminars, workshops and various pre-placement trainings in soft skills which provides placements in both Government and Public sectors of the country.

The college has the best placement records due to highly reputed companies visiting the college which are Infosys, Accenture, NIIT, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TATA, SAP, Virtusa and much more.

After the CUET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute . The appearance in CUET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
