INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAM

The B.Ed. programme is a two-year academic programme. Our main aim is for our students to learn how to teach effectively. Throughout the year, the FIMT-School of Education hosts conferences, courses, extension classes, field trips, and research events. According to the University, the purpose of the B.Ed. programme is to train successful secondary school teachers who can adapt to the evolving needs of modern Indian society. According to the B.Ed. Program Course Curriculum, FIMT - School of Education offers the best schools in Delhi NCR, including KV Sanghathan Schools, Delhi Government Schools, Government Aided Schools, and other Private and Public Schools in Delhi, for a 16-week Internship Program. Via our programme, more than 70% of our trainee teachers were put in prestigious schools across India.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Since 2012, the Fairfield Institute of Management & Technology's School of Education has been offering a two-year B.Ed. programme affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in Delhi. Education is widely regarded as the most effective way of bringing in change. This philosophy is duly attested by FIMT-School of Education, which strives to achieve this goal by enabling them. The FIMT-School of Education imparts expertise and skills in order to train futuristic teachers who can effect change. Since it is said that the only way to forecast a golden future is to create one, we strive to instil a political, socioeconomic, and cultural culture in our students in order to realise the Institution's goal.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• A candidate eligible for admission to the B.Ed. course must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2) and Undergraduate Level in any stream (Arts, Science or Commerce).
• The aggregate of 50-55% marks must be taken as an eligibility criterion at Undergraduate Level to admission in B.Ed. course.

ADMISSION PROCESS

• The candidates must apply through GGSIPU CET for the admission to B.Ed. course offered by FIMT
• The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
• The candidates who qualify CET (Common Entrance Test) are only eligible for the admission in the college.

The placement cell and the management work hand in hand to ensure a bright future for its well deserved graduates.

The college drives to function many sources which in turn help in successful placement drives-

Placement ERP - The placement updates of the college are issued by the ERP cell which facilitates easy access to information regarding placement drives to students as well as parents and teachers. This resourceful department keeps an eye on the progress of each student and leads them through the placement process in all its smoothness while at the same time answering queries which can turn up innumerable times related to the same.

Job fair - The college brims up with hundreds of companies coming to provide placement every year where students from all the courses can undergo the placement process characteristic to their choice of company . All the courses have their idiosyncratic and world class companies coming over to give employments to the most deserved of students.

Training and workshops - The college also prepares its students how to face the processes involved during placements including interviews, group discussions, presentations, viva and many more through its thorough and efficient training and workshop programs. Personality development classes help students gain enough confidence to put their best foot forward while being able to learn apt communicative skills through the same measures. To add to the same the college was also fortunate to hold training sessions by a renowned corporate firm DreamUny the previous year.

Assessment Tests - The college conducts ACMAT tests regularly to keep a track of the aptitude and skills of students.

Student mentors - The college invites accomplished alumni to hold guest lectures which motivate the students while at the same time give them a chance to learn from their experiences.

After the IPU CET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off is different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidates vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by the institute . The appearance in IPU CET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
