INTRODUCTION

St. Lawrence College of Higher Education is a self-financing educational institution accredited by the NCTE and affiliated with GGSIP University Delhi. It is part of the St. Lawrence Group of Institutions. SLCHE was established in 2008 in Geeta Colony, Delhi-31, under the aegis of Gagan Education Society Delhi, which was registered under the society act in 1987, and is affiliated with several other educational institutions across the country, including the Siddhi Vinayak Group of Institutions in Alwar (Rajasthan) and the DR Group of Institutions in Panipat (Haryana).SLCHE is one of GGSIP University's top-ranking institutions in all areas, including infrastructure, academics, co-curricular programmes, sports, games, and study. SLCHE is currently offering a B. Ed. course, but all other education-related classes are pending acceptance and affiliation. We are devoted to offering the best possible support to the students and the Community. SLCHE is an ISO 1901-2008 accredited educational institute. At SLCHE, education is learner-centered, with all scholarly insights offered by GGSIP University Delhi. PROGRAMME FOR B.ED EDUCATION:

Since 2010, the Department of Education has offered a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree. The NCTE accepts the B.Ed. programme. From the 2015-2016 season, the B.Ed. course will last two years.

We now have a fully trained teaching workforce that uses all new education transaction approaches for a class of 100 students. We work hard to provide prospective teachers with the requisite teaching skills, creative teaching techniques, and cutting-edge audio-visual technologies so that they can become successful teachers in the twenty-first century. This commitment on the part of the teachers is mirrored in the performance of the students, and all of this leads to our Institute becoming one of the most sought-after in GGSIP University. The number of students accepted into the B.Ed. programme is 100.

The faculty members of SLCHE, as well as the Director and Principal, are often willing to engage in numerous national and international meetings, conferences, forums, panel discussions, enrichment courses, interactive presentations, colloquiums, academic development/enrichment projects, and so on as organisers, attendees, and presenters of research papers leading experts/Acamadicians of national and international repute from academia, business, and society were invited, engaged, and had valuable debates and discussions of academic importance.

OPPORTUNITY AT THE SLCHE GROUP

 Students who excelled in academics and teaching practise are given first preference in work placements at the SLCHE Group Institutions in Delhi and other Gagan Education Society Delhi institutions.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• A candidate eligible for admission to the B.Ed. course must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2) and Undergraduate Level in any stream (Arts, Science or Commerce).
• The aggregate of 50-55% marks must be taken as an eligibility criterion at Undergraduate Level to admission in B.Ed. course.

ADMISSION PROCESS

• The candidates must apply through GGSIPU CET for the admission to B.Ed. course
• The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
• The candidates who qualify CET (Common Entrance Test) are only eligible for the admission in the college.

After the IPU CET, all india rank is given to all candidates. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off is different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidates vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by the institute . The appearance in IPU CET is mandatory to be eligible for management quota seats.
