ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology was respectfully established in the year 1999 . The foundation stone of this College was led by eminent and honorable society - Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society. The college is promoted by a group of famous Businessman, Industrialists, Professionals and Philanthropists. The college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. The aim for promoting this college includes with an aim to promote quality education. The college is willing to become an agent of promoting learning in the field of Technology and Management. Besides then, MAIT has reflected strength to strength to become as one of the most prestigious technical institutes not only among the private Institutes but also among top engineering Institutes. Furthermore the college has been promoted and ranked amongst the top engineering Institutes by DATAQUEST.The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. MAIT’s campus consist of ten blocks including Admin Block with well equipped modern laboratories,an intellectually stocked Learning Resource Centre, Wi-Fi connectivity, with Boys Hostel,  Gym, books, E-Resources, and Auditorium.To make successful lasting relations with big Industries, MAIT associate closely with top industries to maintain close relations in fulfilling the social responsibility of providing industry relevant technical education as well as training.

The institute started with enthusiasm in 1999. The first batch of this College comprise 180 B.Tech. students. There has been tremendous growth from 1999 and at present. MAIT provides Bachelor's Degree in five disciplines of Engineering - Mechanical and Automation Engineering (180 students intake each),Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering  (240 students intake), Computer Science & Technology , Information Technology and Engineering (60 students intake each) , Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, and Postgraduate degree in Master of Business Administration (180 students intake).

The alumni has been contributing significantly toacademics, business,social domains, industry, research, and government.Its alumni have also distinguished themselves through their achievements.  The institute regularly work closely with the alumni to motivate students and fulfill its activities through continuous interactions in academic and research programmes.The overall environment provides a quality learning atmosphere for students that influence societal contributions, culture, art,sports,  human values and self-governance.

ELIGIBILITY

  • A candidate eligible for admission to the 4-year B. Tech degree course must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2) with minimum 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in aggregate.
  • A candidate must have passed English as a core/elective/functional subject in CBSE or any other equivalent examination.
  • A candidate should also appear in JEE to become eligible for the B. Tech course in the college.

 

ADMISSION PROCESS

  • The candidates must apply through IPU CET or JEE Entrance Exam for the admission to any of the courses offered by MAIT
  • The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
  • The candidates who qualify IPU CET or JEE Exam are only eligible for the admission in the college.

After the registration , all india rank is given to all candidates based on JEE mains score. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute .
