The Department of Information Technology was established in 2003 with a clear vision, mandate, and objectives. The department follows the rules and regulations of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and AICTE New Delhi, as the college is affiliated with GGSIPU and recognised by AICTE New Delhi. B Tech is a four-year undergraduate degree offered by the school (Information Technology). The continuing integration of computers, communications, and control systems is stressed in the Information Technology curriculum. The curriculum guarantees that the student successfully follows the industry's highest standards of excellence. Value Addition Programs (VAP) and Project Based Learning are conducted by the department to prepare students for the workplace (PBL). Students, TPOs, faculty members, and industry leaders collaborate to choose technologies for VAP and PBL.Mentoring and counselling methodologies are being used to assist and direct students in their development. The department's graduates work in a variety of national and international organisations in diverse capacities. Tech Skills: Combine math and physics knowledge with computer science and engineering fundamentals to solve difficult engineering problems related to CSE.

Issue Analysis: Define, devise, study scientific literature, and evaluate dynamic engineering questions applicable to CSE in order to draw substantiated conclusions based on first principles of mathematics.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR B. TECH

Pass 12th Class in CBSE's 10+2 pattern or similar with a minimum of 55 percent combined in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics if the candidate has passed each subject separately. In addition, the candidate must have passed the qualifying test for English as a subject of study (core, elective, or functional).

 

CRITERIA FOR B. TECH ADMISSIONS

All candidates must take the National Testing Agency's Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main Paper 1 to be considered (NTA). The University will not hold its own CET for admissions, instead relying on the JEE Main Paper 1 merit for admissions. Admissions would be given based on merit / rank in the JEE.

After the registration , all india rank is given to all candidates based on JEE mains score. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute.
