Gitarattan International Business School (GIBS) is a private college in Rohini, New Delhi. The college is recognized by Bar Council of India and was established in the year 2004 under the aegis of Rohini Educational Society. It is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University which is approved by AICTE and Accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC. ABOUT THE COURSE

The Masters of Business Administration (International Business) is 2 years (4 semesters) postgraduate programme which is aimed to inculcate in-depth knowledge in the International Business which is designed for integrated growth of students encompassing academic excellence and developing capacity of students in international business.

During the course students cover various subjects such as Management Process and Organisational Behaviour, Managerial Economics, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Management of International Business, Entrepreneurship Development, Business Intelligence and Applications, Foreign Trade Policy, India and World Economy, International Marketing, International Business Strategy, Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Values and Ethics etc.

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE

The MBA (IB) course is divided into 2 years and further divided into 4 semesters. An academic calendar consists of 2 semesters each of 15 weeks duration which is evaluated through internal and external examinations which involves industrial visits.

VISION

The vision of this course is to prepare innovative professionals in International Business Management and other disciplines who can provide intellectual, emotional and psychological leadership to design, develop and implement systems & processes and hence, research, innovate and compete at national & international level.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this course is to open channel of admission for students who are interested in taking International Business Administration as a career. It aims to provide in-depth knowledge of management concepts, techniques & tools and their application in live situations with special emphasis on International Business to develop leadership qualities, team spirit, analytical and entrepreneurship abilities among the students. It also aims to develop soft skills and holistic personality of the students.

The MBA graduates have a lot of employment opportunities as a Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, HR Manager, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Finance Advisor, Business Development Manager and much more.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A candidate eligible for admission must have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or any recognized qualification with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

The candidate must have passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

ADMISSION PROCESS

The candidates must apply through CAT (Common Admission Test) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and then Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) by National Testing Agency (NTA) and after that IPU CET for the admission to the MBA (IB).
The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
The candidates who qualify CAT, CMAT and CET are only eligible for the admission in the college.

After the registration , all india rank is given to all candidates based on CAT score. The cut off for admission is decided as per counselling process. The cut off are different for Delhi Quota and non Delhi Quota students. Usually, cut off is higher ( means lesser competition) for Delhi region candidate vis a vis Outside Delhi candidates. For management quota seats, admissions are given on criteria set up by institute .
